Jack the Ripper - Logistics

JTRMap

It is important to study this map and look for the sites - annotated 1 - 5.

Also look at the scale at the foot of the map. You will then see the distance from Whitechapel Station to any of the sites is remarkably short. Easily covered in a few short minutes at the pace of a fairly brisk walk. This is especially so in the cases of murders 3 & 4 committed a short time apart.

Besides the sites also locate the Minories; a street coloured deep yellow just above Fenchurch Street Station.

Click the following link to the London Yellow Pages site: MapYlag Mapellow Page Map

and manouver the map to have Aldgate East Station in the dead centre with the size lever between 2 & 3 from the top - then switch to the hybrid view. Even though this is a modern picture (2008) it goes a long way to illustrate the are and the compactness being continually mentioned. A switch then to the Bird's Eye view is excellent and remember the map may be manouvered by holding down the left click on your mouse and dragging.

A separate page will be constructed to allow the viewer to "fly over" (following directions) with some explanatory texts.

Throughout the various articles reference will be made to the Yellow Pages Map - so a re-visit periodically will be useful.
